1. Information We Collect
From Merchants
Account & Contact Info
Name, email, store details, billing info.
Shopify Data
Orders, products, customers, inventory, checkout data (only as necessary to provide Services).
Usage Data
App settings, preferences, analytics on how our apps are used.
Messaging Integrations (Optional)
- Connected business phone numbers
- Messaging account identifiers
- Vendor phone numbers added by merchants
- Message templates configured by merchants
- Message metadata (timestamps, delivery status, read status)
From Drivers
Account Info
Name, phone number, email, vehicle details (if provided).
Location Data
Real-time GPS data for routing, tracking, and proof of delivery.
Delivery Activity
Assigned routes, completed deliveries, check-ins, ratings, photos, and signatures (if required).
From Customers
Order Data
Name, contact info, shipping address, ordered items.
Location Data
If enabled, location details for delivery or store availability.
Device Data
IP address, browser, device type and interaction data.
Feedback & Support
Ratings, messages, or support requests shared with merchants or Toolstr.
From Messaging Participants
- Phone numbers provided by merchants
- Message content (only as required for delivery or logging)

Toolstr does not collect this information directly from recipients.

3. How We Share Information
With Merchants
Customer, vendor, and delivery data is shared only with the merchant who owns the store.
With Drivers
Customer contact and address details are shared only as required for delivery.
With Messaging Platforms
When merchants enable messaging features, message data may be transmitted via third-party messaging providers such as WhatsApp Business (Meta).
With Service Providers
Hosting, analytics, messaging providers, payment processors, and notification providers (e.g., AWS, Firebase, Meta messaging services).
With Legal Authorities
When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Business Messaging Integrations
Our Services may allow merchants to connect third-party messaging platforms such as WhatsApp Business (via Meta). When enabled:
- Merchants control recipients and message content
- Toolstr processes data only to deliver messages
- Messages may be sent to individuals or groups
- We may store metadata for delivery tracking
- Message content is not used for advertising
Messages are transmitted through third-party messaging platforms and are subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Merchants are responsible for obtaining consent from recipients and ensuring lawful messaging. Toolstr acts as a messaging infrastructure provider on behalf of merchants.
5. Data Retention
Merchants
Data retained as long as the merchant account is active.
Drivers
Delivery and location data retained as necessary for compliance.
Customers
Order-related data retained as required by merchants and Shopify.
Messaging Data
Message metadata may be retained for logs and debugging. Message content may be retained only if required for functionality.
